Colon

1. Come posso creare un Communicator per una Demo su portatile?
    

    

    

   Uno dei maggiori vantaggi del Pacchetto Programmi di Rendoscopy è costituita dalla funzione “Communicator” presente in molti tipi di immagini 3D, come nella Colonoscopia, nell'Angiografia, ecc...

   Ogni licenza completa è in grado di creare questi tipi di file Communicator. Questi file possono essere utilizzati per una LIVE DEMO dei Vostri reperti nella sala Demo Raggi X, oppure per la pianificazione della terapia da parte dei vostri collaboratori clinici. Il Communicator è dotato di piena capacità di navigazione 3D, e non influenza in nessun modo il reperto originale (per ragioni legali!).

   In alternativa il Communicator può essere usato per realizzare una presentazione oraleutilizando Vostro portatile o la Vostra chiave USB (>1 GB di memoria).

   Per avviare il communicator dovete essere forniti degli stessi requisiti necessari per le applicazioni di Gentle Colon:

   1. Windows XP(64) (Vista dovrebbe funzionare,ma non è stato molto testato!)

   2. Memoria RAM di 1 GB (raccomandati: 2 or 4 GB)

   3. Lettura: E' necessaria una carta grafica NVIDIA.
      DEMO: NVIDIA è un'opzione, anche se una carta grafica NVIDIA permette di ottenere la migliore qualità e performance possibile.

   Ecco passi necessari per creare un communicator (per esempio su una chiave USB):

   1. Aprire il caso di Vostro interesse in Gentle Colon.

   2. Nella barra del menu: File, Salva come, Selezionare la Vostra chiave USB , Salvare il file GCD o RND.

   3. Copiare l'intera sottocartella C:\Programme\Rendoscopy\GC2 Communicator sulla chiave USB nella stessa sede sin cui è stato copiato il file GCD.

   4. Verificare il Communicator durante la chiusura di tutte le finestre (in particolare della finestra dalle licenza completa di Gentle Colon), e cliccare due volte su "gc2communicator" sulla Vostra chiave USB.

   Consigli:

   • La sottocartella GC2Communicator deve essere copiata in OGNI PC solo una volta. successivamente deve essere copiato solo il file GCD, e questo può essere visualizzato DOVUNQUE, con o senza rete!

   • E' possibile configurare Patient History (>1.3.1) in modo che automaticamente OGNI sezione assiale dei dati in ingresso sia disponibile sul server con un file 3D GCD “risultato”!

2. Come posso creare una traccia specifica lungo il colon?
    

    

   Se si desidera ottenere la traccia di un'ansa in particolare in una delle immagini 2D, si prema il tasto Ctrl sulla tastiera e si disegni una freccia gialla nella porzione di colon desiderata con il tasto sinistro del mouse (vedi immagine).

   

    

    

    

    

    

    

3. Come posso cambiare l'orientazione della fotocamera?
    

    

   L'orientazione predefinita della fotocamera è sempre anterograda. Se si preme la barra di spazio (short key) per iniziare il processo di "fly through" e "fly-over" si vede che è premuto anche il tasto "Riproduci in avanti" in alto a destra dell'applicazione Gentle Colon .

   Il secondo tasto "Riproduci" corrisponde al "fly-through" e al "fly-over" retrogrado! Il tasto short key per l'orientamento retrogrado è la barra di spazio-Ctrl (premere il taato Ctrl mentre si preme la barra di spazio).

    

4. Come faccio a installare le impostazioni di Rendoscopy?
    

    

   Si prega di leggere il Manuale di Installazione di Rendoscopy. Le istruzioni seguenti sono destinati ai nostri utenti più impazienti:

   1. Fare doppio click su RNDSetup.exe, ricevuto da Rendoscopy
   2. Seguire tutte le voci e le configurazioni standard senza effettuare variazioni
   3. Quando l'installazione è completa, avviare il database SQL: Avvia, Tutti i Programmi, Rendoscopy, Avvia Database.
   4. Inserire il nome utente: "rendoscopy", Password: "mysql"
   5. Inizializzare il Dtatabase di Patient History: Avvia, Tutti i Programmi, Rendoscopy, Iniziualizza il database di Patient History.
   6. Open Patient History from the Desktop (double click to the appropriate Icon).
   7. Apparirà una finestra informativa: digitare OK
   8. Andare al Menu di Servizio digitando sull'icona "Servizio" sulla parte sinistar della barre delle icone.
   9. Installare il servizio DICOM Rendoscopy

   
   Ecco fatto! Ovviamente le Vostre TC o PACS dovranno essere configurate in base alle impostazioni appropriate DICOM, o in alternativa la stazione di lavoro di Rendoscopy dovrà essere adattata alle impostazioni DICOM delle TC o PACS.

5. E' necessario disegnare manualmente il percorso nel colon?
    

    

    

   No, questo viene fatto automaticamente dall'applicazione Gentle Colon. In casi molto rari è necessario supportare il sistema per trovare il percorso.

   Esistono opzioni differenti di automazione per effettuare la Post Processazione delle applicazioni di Rendoscopy. Gentle Colon, così come ogni applicazione di Rendoscopy, è gestito da Patient History. Questo significa che esistono tre diverse opzioni che consentono di elaborare e processare i dati più o meno automaticamente:

   1. Caricamento manuale dopo aver ricevuto il file DICOM in Patient History

   2. Processazione Batch: evidenziare il numero di esami o gli studi desiderati, premere il tasto destro del mouse nell'area evidenziata per iniziare la Processazione

   3. Incolonnamento: Ogni set di dati inviato sarà caricato automaticamente nell'applicazione, e sarà possibile trovare il risultato 3D come nuova serie DICOM, o in Patient History o dove si desideri in dipendenza dalla configurazione del Sistema File Patient Management scelta. Ciò significa che viene offerta l'opzione di utilizzare il sistema in modalità server.

    

6. Quali sono le impostazioni predefinite DICOM utilizzate da Rendoscopy?
    

    

   Le impostazioni predefinite DICOM sono Titolo - AE "RENDOS"; Porta: "4444". Questi valori possono essere cambiati in base alla Vostra preferenza.
7. Perchè non riesco ad avviare il Communicator scaricato?
    

    

    

   Dopo aver scaricato lo strumento Communicator di Rendoscopy, è necessario tenere in considerazione i seguenti punti:

   1. Decomprimere il file RAR utilizzando WinRAR

   2. Questo è uno strumento di comunicazione e non uno strumento DEMO. Questo significa che avrete la piena risoluzione dei set di dati. Per questo il vostro computer dovrebbe avere 1 GB di memoria RAM.

   3. Per la lettura è NECESSARIO avere una carta grafica NVIDIA , come la GeForce di serie 6, 7 o 8 .

   4. Dopo la decompressione, cliccare due volte su "gc2communicator.exe". L 'esecuzione parte automaticamente e carica i file di dati.

   5. Dopo la fine del processo di caricamento, saranno disponibili esattamente le stesse interazioni e funzioni fornite dalla licenza completa. Digitare il tasto "k" (Key- and Mouse Bindings) sulla tastiera per avere una descrizione molto corta del Key- and Mouse Bindings (scorciatioie per la tstiera ed il mouse).

8. Perchè non è possibile accedere alla finestra lume nelle serie prone?
    

    

    

   In alcuni casi questo può accadere se il resampling è attivo per set di dati di grandi dimensioni, anche se esso non è del tutto necessario. Spegnere il resampling e provare ancora.

   Il resampling può essere attivato /disattivato in ogni tipo di dato in carica:

   1. Patient History – Tasto destro del mouse, Caricamento automatico in GC2

       

   Andare a Patient History e seguire il percorso: Strumenti, Preferenze, Strumenti, Tab.: Gentle Colon 3D, Opzioni per GC2 con Automazione, Attiva/Disattiva “resampling automatico”

   2. Patient History – Queuing

       

      Andare a Patient History e seguire questo percorso: Strumenti, Preferenze, Strumenti, Tab.: Gentle Colon 3D, Opzioni per GC 3D con Automazione, Attiva/Disattiva “resampling”

   Andare a Patient History: premere il tasto destro del mouse su ricostruisci paziente / studi: Processo di Batch, inattiva o attiva il resampling

   
   

   
   

    

9. Perchè perdo alcune visualizzazioni, comprese alcune già visualizzate?
    

    

    

   Si consiglia di utilizzare il Menu Visualizza in Gentle Colon per attivare e attivare la visualizzazione

10. Perchè la visualizzazione endoluminale appare nera?
     

     

    In casi molto rari può accadere che la visualizzazione endoluminale risulti nera. Questo è dovuto al fatto che il SNR (Rapprto Segnale/Rumore) è diminuito rispetto al normale. Si prega di utilizzare in Gentle Colon il filtro isotropico. Questo filtro può essere attivato per ogni esame in Patient History seguendo il percorso: Strumenti, Preferenze, Strumenti, Gentle Colon Automatico, “Dati Resampling”. Se questa procedura non è in grado di risolvere il problema, si prega di contattare il Team di Rendoscopy “Servizi e Supporto”.
11. Perchè Gentle Colon non è stato in grado di trovare un percorso nel colon?
     

     

     Le cause possono essere:

    • Il Sistema Multi Percorso visualizza il numero di percorsi trovati nelle preferenze. Date un'occhiata all'applicazione di Gentle Colon. Selezionate Inserisci, Opzioni, Percorso, e Numero massimo di percorsi dal menu e cambiate il numero dei percorsi visualizzabili. Il numero di percorsi predefinito è due.

       

    • Esistono più di due punti di inizio nel colon. Questo può accadere quando la scansione interferisce con la cornice del colon. Oppure perchè il paziente ha respirato più profondamente durante la fase di realizzazione dell'immagine rispetto che durante la pianificazione della TC, o ancora perchè la pianificazione non è stata troppo precisa. In questo caso esistono tre punti di partenza: il retto, il polo ciecale, il colon aperto e “troncato”. Spostate il puntatore del mouse a livello dell'ansa corrispondente in una delle immagini 2D e disegnateci dentro una freccia gialla premendo il tasto Ctrl e il tasto sinistro del mouse.

    • Iniziando con la versione 2.0.15 di Gentle Colon è disponibile uno strumento di Creazione Percorso. Selezionate in Gentle Colon Strumenti, Crea Segmenti di Percorso e lo strumento creazione Percorso aprirà automaticamente una nuova finestra. Nella prima colonna (chiamata “visibile “) potete accendere o spegnere i percorsi. Digitando un argomento della seconda colonna (chiamata “Segmento percorso”) verrà evidenziarto il percorso corrispondente nella visualizzazione topogramma .

Patient History

1. Database Corruption
    

    

   The patient History can be opened with or without error messages. BUT, you can not open a patient dataset.

   Do the following steps:

   1. Switch off the Patient History
   2. Stop the DICOM Server
   3. Shut down the SQL server: Right mouse on the traffic ligt icon on the lower right corner. Stop the service.
   4. In C:\mysql\data\rendoscopy is the usual actual database path. The files in this subdirectory can be corrupted under some circumstances. Create with the Windows Explorer in C:\mysql\data a new subdirectory, such as rendoscopy_1.
   5. Open the Patient History and click to the "SERVICE" Icon on the left hand side.
   6. Choose the second TAB, named "Patient Database"
   7. In "Patient Database" enter in the line named "Database Name" the new subdirectory name you created in point 1: rendoscopy_1
   8. Press APPLY on the lower part of the Patient History.
   9. Reboot the Workstation.
   10. Start the Patient History
   11. Click to the icon "Study by Date", you will see now an empty Patient History.
   12. On the upper left, press File, "Import Data"
   13. The import window is opening: Choose "Import all Data (including subdirectories)"
   14. Choose the location of the DcmArchive\DB\RENDOS (mostly located at C:\DcmArchive\DB\RENDOS
   15. Please be patient for collecting data and importing. Depending on the size of the disk this can need hours!

   
   
2. How can I save special cases from the Patient History ?
    

    

   1. In the Patient History, mark a patient in the Study and / or Patient Area, and click the right mouse button. In the new opened menu choose "export". If you have connected an external disk or another form of storage device, you will be able to save this onto the corresponding device. In the external storage device please remember to organize your data in a self explanatory way.
   
   
   2. Alternatively (or as in previous software releases) you can save from the application (such as Gentle Colon) directly on to the external storage device. For example in Gentle Colon, choose File, Save as, and than choose the external device of your choice, and save it.
   
   
   3. Additionally, save the appropriate Communicator file in the same place that you send the RND or GCD files. To copy the Rendoscopy Communicator files observe the following points:
      
      
      1. Go to C://Programme/Rendoscopy/GC2Communicator
      2. Mark everything (=Ctrl-a)
      3. Copy everything (=Ctrl-c)
      4. Go to your target, for instance the external storage device, and paste the previous copy into the corresponding place (=Ctrl-v), as for example in the "HOME"-Directory of all the RND / GCD (data) files.
         
         [Comment: You will be able to have some freedom of compatibility with new Communicator releases, if you save just the gc2communicator.exe file always with the RND / GCD file. This guarantees that the RND or GCD file will correspond to the gc2communicator file in any case.]

Angiography

1. When will the first release of the Angiography Tool be available ?
    

    

   Planned: Q 1/2008.
2. Which kind of functionality will be available in the Angio-Tool ?
    

    

   The following functionality of the Angiography (peripherical Angiography) is actually running on the system:

   1. One click segmentation for all branches
   2. Multi Workspace Handling with as many exams as you need (using XP64 - it is just a question of how much RAM you are using on your computer)
   3. Multi-Path-Algorithims to decrease the amount of effort on the part of the doctor.
   4. The following windows will be available: MPR, oblique [always perpendicular to the track through the vessels], Volume Rendering with presets for the vessels and bones, Surface Rendering just from the segmented area, curved MPR, functions along the tracks
   5. Communicator creation to share the findings of the doctor with everyone.

Cardiology

   The minimum number of detector rows in your Multi-Detector CT device should be more than 4 slices. A single detector row CT is inadequate.

   Yes - the Rendoscopy software packages are available without hardware. The software-only package comes with the guarantee that the system can be installed and configured on hardware that is specified through Rendoscopy along with the guarantee that your site, with Rendoscopy´s help, will be able to connect the installed Rendoscopy Package to your given TCP/IP - DICOM network in order to receive DICOM data from your CT / PACS!

   The hardware requirments are:

   Server Mode:

   1. Required: Minimum 1 GB RAM Memory (recommended 2 and more GB RAM)
   2. Required: Windows OS (recommended XP64 or XP32)
   3. Required: NVIDIA graphics card (Quadro or GeForce 7 or 8 Series, such as GeForce 7900 GT, 8600 GS, 8600 GTX, FX Family)
